Fees and revenue control
Patreon is free to start, but creators pay platform fees based on a percentage of earnings, plus payment processing fees.
Patreon uses a standard 10% platform fee for creators. Percentage fees can be acceptable early, but they become more expensive as your membership revenue grows.
Beamly takes 0% platform fees on your subscriptions and products. Standard Stripe processing fees still apply, but Beamly does not take a percentage of your membership sales.
For serious creators, this changes the math. At $5,000 in monthly member revenue, a 10% platform fee is $500 before payment processing.
As revenue grows, a percentage-based platform can take hundreds or thousands of dollars per month. Beamly’s model gives creators more room to reinvest into content, production, ads, contractors, or community support.
