Product Update: Built-in Comments 🚀💬

January 29, 2025

We’re thrilled to announce yet another powerful new way for podcasters to build engagement with their listeners on their website. Comments are now available on Beamly! (formerly Podcastpage.io)
This highly-requested feature enables meaningful discussions right where your content lives.

A Community Around Your Content

Your podcast episodes, blog posts, and video pages can now become spaces for vibrant discussions. Listeners and website visitors can share their thoughts, ask questions, and engage with your content directly on your website. This creates a stronger connection between you and your audience while building an engaged community around your show.

How It Works

Comments are available to signed-in members of your website, ensuring quality discussions and reducing spam. For episodes or content behind your membership paywall, comments are exclusively available to your premium subscribers – adding even more value to your premium offering.

The comment system is elegantly integrated into your podcast episode pages, blog posts and video pages, maintaining the clean and professional look of your website while enabling meaningful interactions.

Until today, a few 3rd party integration commenting platforms were available (they still are), but the built-in comments are much more valuable –

  • Only members who sign up to your site can post comments – keeping spam at a minimum while increasing engagement with your audience.
  • You get built-in control over the comments and can read, reply or remove comments right in your dashboard.
  • Replies you post from your admin panel get labeled with a small “Admin” badge.
  • Supports multiple levels of nested comments.
  • Built-in comments load much faster and have a more consistent look with the rest of your site when compared to any 3rd party option.

Getting Started with Comments

The Comments feature is ready and already enabled for you on your Beamly website. (To disable the feature, go into “Customize > General” and disable the Comments option.)

Comments create another direct line of communication between you and your listeners. This two-way interaction can generate valuable feedback about your content, create meaningful discussions around episode topics, build a stronger community around your podcast or provide ideas for future episodes based on listener interests.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning of our community engagement features. We’re constantly working on new ways to help you connect with your audience and grow your podcast community.

We can’t wait to see the conversations that develop on your podcast websites! As always, we’d love to hear your feedback about this new feature. Feel free to reach out to our team with any questions or suggestions.
